Camp Enterprise is sponsored by the Portland Rotary and the Rotary Foundation. The program was developed by the Rotary Club of Columbus, Ohio, and based on the Operation Enterprise Course conducted by the American Management Association in Hamilton, New York.

The objective of Camp Enterprise is to provide selected young men and women with an overview of the benefits, challenges, and problems of the free enterprise system.
