Business Development
(Opening #OP101) We are currently seeking a talented person to fill the role of helping to develop and run our accounting software division. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right person!

Description
We are seeking someone to take over the CEO's role in running the company while we start up a new enterprise.  The company is currently profitable, but has the capacity to make a lot more money with a more focused sales and support person.

Ideal Candidate
This role will be filled by a confident achiever who loves working with prospects and customers and making them successful. You need a proven sales background with customer relationship management, general business accounting knowledge, and someone who can coax and push people into getting what you need to be successful. For the person who can think of and run the company as if it was their own, you will partake in the rewards as well. A background in computer software or hardware would be a good fit.

Typical Duties
Your primary responsibility will be to press leads into sales, and follow up with support and implementation of the product. You must be persuasive, able to "talk turkey" with other business people, win sales, and keep them through good service.  

You must have a good phone personality, good handwriting, basic computer and software skills, general knowledge of business accounting, a high degree of organization, and the ability to envision how to grow the company. The patience to train and support new customers is also needed. Leadership skills and focus will help in interacting with other staff.

Reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Education
Prefer BA or BS in accounting, computer science, or marketing fields.

Customer Support Technician
(Opening #CS101) We are currently seeking applicants to fill the position of Customer Support Technician.

This role will be filled by a confident achiever who loves working with customers and making the successful. You should be experienced with customer support systems (knowledgebase, email support, customer service databases, etc).

Typical Duties
Primary responsibility is to answer phones, emails, and faxes from customers regarding multiple products related to accounting software. Must have exhuberant personality and professional phone manner. Must have good writing skills to produce knowledgebase abstracts, training and instructional material, manuals, and website content.

Secondary duties may involve assisting the senior management in day to day operational matters, and some office work.

Reporting
Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Hours
Typically 8am to 5pm M-F.

Education
Prefer BA or BS in accounting or computer science field.

Software Engineer - TopSpeed
(Opening #SE501) ONTOP Systems is always looking for the brightest software engineers to help us to continue to develop new Internet technologies and deliver new customer systems.

Preferred Technologies
Must be fluent in the use of TopSpeed Clarion for Windows. Min. 1-2 years experience in a production environment preferred.

Preference will go to candidates who also possess skills in Internet, OOP, databases, accounting or business systems development, communications, and high-end system integration, such as ERP, CRM, SCM, or SFA.

Experience with Internet hardware and software is also helpful, particularly with Internet security, firewalls, and servers.

Reporting
Dual reporting to both CEO and Chief Operating Officer.

Hours
Typically 8am to 5pm M-F, but we can be flexible.

Education
Prefer candidates with formal Computer Science education, B.S. or M.S.
